THANKS! C4F

got the file and saved it. Much appreciation extended to you. :)

I used to pick up trash after the races in the early 70's at Mid Ohio. All us kids would do it for  $1 per hour (big money when you're 11 years old)
Also sold programs while my Dad sold tickets at the gate. The local Kiwanis club had that gig.
Sold food at the concession stands too. Local band boosters had that one.
Les Greibling who owned the track was very generous in letting the community have a share of the action and it surely didn't hurt public relations either. It's all big corperate now  :(
Brought back a ton of memories there (all good ones, too)
Thanks again,
bd

I used to have a MGC and Les Greibling had the MG dealership out on the west side of Mansfield on Cook Rd. I went there to get parts sometimes. The son was more into running the garage but Les would be there too sometimes.

A MGC was a "fix or repair daily" situation, so I was over there often.

I also remember flying over the race track in the late 60's in the Tripacer and watching a Can AM race.

State of Confusion. (sorry I could not resist that one)

North Florida.
I could not take the winters in Ohio/Michigan anymore.
Manual is full of good info. Thanks again.

660  I had an mgb once  wish I could have had a c with the two extra cylinders!
I have a midget and a tr6 in the garage now.
Not bad cars as long as you don't count on them as reliable transportation.

That MGC had a four speed transmission and a overdrive. Never had any trouble with the transmission or clutch.

You could split the gears on the transmission using the overdrive.

I suppose it would have been a better car to have kept it put away in the barn and just get it out on pretty, casual, days?

I worked on a lot of MGA's back in the early 60's. They were bad about blowing head gaskets. The "B" engine had another bolt in that position and didn't blow head gaskets. I never worked on a TC or TD.

The Austin sedan had the same engine but only a single carb. My wife had a Austin Sedan before we got married. It looked a lot like a "B"

The MGC engine was a off shoot of the Austin Healey 3000 with a different head design and carbs.

Never worked on any TR3's or 6's nor Midgets, Sprites, etc.
