Over a period of over 50 years of dealing with small engine repair. I have had hundreds of chainsaw engines apart.
One of the best tool a mechanic can have is an exploded view of parts or a service manual.
One example of good information in a service manual is replacing a stihl pole saw oil pump.
If you ever replace one you will see why.
Also found in service manuals is the use of special tools and some even show how to fabricate your own.
Sure some people can figure it out, but that takes time.
