I don't have a iron but I've got a heat gun. Im gonna try and if its still locked I will buy an iron, it s not expensive.

Well you could call it big I suppose .FWIW I have two American Beauty irons,vintage .One is 400 watts one is 750 .The big one I can solder a radiator tank with .The copper tip is an inch and a quarter by two inches long .It will melt bar solder like it's butter .

Yeow! Al, my wife makes leaded glass windows and the biggest iron she uses is 150 watt. I have never seen a 400W iron let alone a 750 watt! Good on ya!

They still make them ,Mac Master -Carr is one place that sells them .I got those things at an estate sale for next to nothing .It takes twenty minutes before they heat up .

The largest "pistol" type I have is a 200 watt Weller .Takes it about 5 seconds .

i finally find one in a moto shop in Italy! it was the last of a new old stock!

for the iron 100w is big when you sold electronic parts, but if you re a plumber it s small... in France we use big solder to do the waterproof of the top of the houses.
