That's a cherry 111.  Is it original, or has it been restored?

I will ask when I talk with him next time.  If I remember.

Sadly, I can totally identify with that Kevin.  Happy Thanksgiving my friend.

Here is my first attempt at posting a pic.  This shows the difference in the top covers between the 111 and 111S

Are you sure that difference always was present?  ???

Only based on the ones I have owned.  If you have more knowledge then please chime in

Just belgians pics here.

Troll, thanks for posting that nice link to the 111/(S) reference pictures
We should share what we know... someone may learn...

Per him =  The rewind is a dead give away. It says Jonsered. It should say Jonsereds. Its been restored. Although I do have a real nice 111s that is original.

Took 2 111 johnny and made one. Took a while to find all the stuff I needed. The hardest thing to find was the decomp. It has a oem 111 piston and cylinder. Done some porting on it but did not get too crazy with it.  The piston is the weak link imo with this saw. Its runs great and the owner is very happy with it ;D Still have a few 111 parts left over but spoken for ;)

Anyone have a 111S gas tank they can spare?
If I can't fix this saw with a broken tank, the owner will turn it into a go-cart engine >:(

whilst you guys are chatting about the 111/111s, I'll join in by asking what do you set the ignition timing at? There was some discussion about this 18 months ago. I got a factory spec that said 3.8mm before TDC. Fine, but where do you measure the 3.8mm. What do you people do who obviously run 111's; set it in degrees ?
