This one isnt windowed either and I would have no problems putting it in a work saw that was closed port.   ;)  I'm talking stock working work saws here. Not trying to squeeze every ounce of performance from a hot woods port or racesaw.  ::)

This 45mm non-windowed piston for formula 500 open port.  http://www.ebay.com/itm/Piston-Kit-fit-PARTNER-Formula-500-Chainsaw-45mm-/170915005633?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item27cb5404c1

This cylinder is off the non runner. The piston was scored on the exhaust side. Cylinder cleaned up fine. Notice the lower part of cylinder is not ground out like others pictures posted here.

I used a 51 piston and opened the bottom of the cylinder to look like a open port type. I feel it made a good runner.

The running one, I remover the baffle inside the muffler, it ran good. I have plans to pull it down and clean up the exhaust port and ringland. It's pretty carboned up.

I think the av mounts are kinda soft on these saws. I would like to find a dog to install. Removing the baffle made the saw just a bit loud for a working saw. Might add the baffle back and play with some hole sizes to tone it down a bit.

I have a idea to stiffen up the upper right av mount. Haven't tried it yet.

Those are 2 nice looking jonsered 590 you got there.   8)

I have a piece of copper used inside the top right AV mount that makes a ripped one usable.  I still need to get a pic for you.
I pretty sure I traded all my oem cylinder av away, but will look again to make sure.
I think they are around 9.50 new.
