I'm helping a friend resurrect his Jonsered 625. The spur sprocket is really beat up, and I'd like to replace it. From the IPL Cut4Fun posted at the beginning of this thread, it appears I need part # 503 65 09-01.

I'm not finding OEM parts, which is not surprising, I guess. I did find an aftermarket part that claims it will fit a 625 (though no part number is given) this one. But the seller does not have a great approval rating. Is there a better source?

I'm also wondering about switching this over to a rim sprocket system. With parts getting harder to find, being able to just replace a rim sprocket down the road might be handy.  The IPL Cut4Fun posted lists part number 501 83 15-04 for the collection of parts that take the rim sprocket. However, it's not clear to me whether that is for the 670 only, or will also fit a 625. I also cannot find that part online. If it does fit, does anyone have a source?

Another IPL I found is for the 625 saw only, but for serial number > 416 0001. (The serial number for this saw is 0310468.) It lists part number 501 83 15-02. I can find one of those online (she this link), but since it's one of the part numbers that changed from one IPL to the other, I'm guessing it may not fit the saw I have.

Is switching to a rim sprocket system on a 625 possible? If so, does anyone have a source for parts to do so?

I will have to do some checking and it might take me a little time but I think I can find some answers for you.

Ok.   So I thought I had a Jonsered 625, 630, and 670 here.   I could not find the 630.

But this is what I found.    All my Jonsered saws have rims and not a spur sprocket.
The part # for an Oregon clutch drum that is made for a rim and on the 625 is 102469.

Then I took the entire clutch assembly off of my Jonsered 670 super and it is an exact fit to the 625 I have.

The serial number for my 625 is 7470080.

I hope this helps some.

So I went on ebay and typed in the oregon part number 102469 and received a bunch of hits for it.

I also typed in Jonsered 670 clutch drum and received and bunch of hits.
