Chainsaw Repair

Prettly close to a Husqvarna 61, IIRC 48mm bore 34mm stroke. I agree with spike60, given the brake arm may have a two piece ignition system electronic, not points. Given the routing of the plug wire and the red boot I would definitely say two piece. My 61 grey top 1986 looks exactly the same.

Does it have spark? In my experience it is the HT coil to the plug that fails not the exciter. Anyway, if you have spark, not to worry. If not I may have one, also HLS pro parts sometimes has AM ones that do work, chainsawr.com may also have used.

When it gets warmed up I will clean it up some and see what all it has.   
I will replace the 24" bar with a 20".     I have plenty of other saws that can handle a 24" bar.
