Left Hand Thread Nuts
« on: November 25, 2013, 10:38:37 pm »
I recently got a Jonsered 52 for ten bucks at a scrap yard. Everything seems to be there to be a complete saw.
But, the left hand thread nut is stripped out. What is the size and are they still available?
Any wisdom will be appreciated.

The clutch end of the crankshaft?

On my saws the clutch spider itself is the only thing with female left handed threads.

I've had saws with a nut over the clutch.  Will try and find a IPL of your saw.

The 52e IPL magnus posted isnt opening in the thread anymore, so I went to the 49 IPL in the same thread.

Yes, that is the same saw, but I think the only difference is mine is not the "e" model. I have no decals to go by but all the colors and parts say it's a model 52. Sorry I don't have a photo yet. The saw is home and I'm not for most of every week.

Thanks 660magnum for the link to get the right part, and thanks to others for your input. Once I get this nut on, I will try and get it started.
