There is one true Stihl fix-em dealer who does repairs within 20 miles of my house. They work full time on Stihl POE. Some of the others have a part time (retired) guy that fixes them at his home shop or they send them somewhere else to be repaired or maybe even have a certified repairman but he works mostly on other equipment.

That is funny because I am that (retired) guy that works part time.   If it has a 2 cycle engine on it and can be put on a bench I do the repair work on it.

I did a small tiller, 2 chainsaws, and 2 weed eaters today.

There are no dealers here in Cheyenne that sell and service exclusively any one brand of chainsaws that I know of.

Cheyenne is a pretty good sized city and the largest within a few hundred miles?

Denver is about 100 miles away.   Cheyenne is about 65,000 population.

I guess when you come from an area of over 10 million 65 thousand seems small.

I sure wouldn't say it's popular but I have an 801 and I'm very impressed by the power it has.

We'll that could be a debate, but my wife's family all live here and they really like having her here and no one has left me any nasty notes yet to get out of town.

Then, when you get antsy, don't be cutting down any utility poles.

As long as they keep supplying me with free wood.

When the weather does get better up in the mountains I am going to go cut some beetle kill pine down and add it to my wood pile.

I  think it is very piney on the West side of Cheyenne around Warland?

I will be going west but south west of Larimie.   There are some good size mountains there with a lot of beetle kill.

I have done a lot of fishing and hunting there and have cut wood there in the past.

Just to stay on subject I think I will take my Jonsered 625 with a 20" bar.   Should go thru that pine like a hot knife thru butter.
