Chainsaw Repair

See this is where traditional BD times are thrown off.  You've noticed on the Husky stratos, the BD is 8-11 degrees.  To me they are opening sooner to purge the comb chamber with the clean air then introduce the charge.  The extra duration is needed for the whole process to complete.  So say you change the BD to 6 degrees, some of the charge may make it to the muffler.

I was trying to get Terry to grasp this concept after he told me that he was upping the BD to 22°......He never could hear me over his ego though.
