Something has hit the top edge of piston looking through muffler.  I ask him to pull plg and see if electrode is still there.  Then again could have been before now.

@Nathaniel Vansickle   what do you think happened?    sparkplug in it he says still together.  Ask if crank bearings felt smooth pulling over and he said yes too.

i would guess jason's out at this point....$180 for ignition and for him to cut timber with it I would guess it needs a P&C so theres another $270.

electrode, wrist pin clip, bearing cage, needle bearing are all the possibilities so it needs a complete tear down IMHO

Yep I under stand that. I am betting a piston kit and I can clean the cylinder up = hoping.   Just wish it was in my hands to check closer.

Seen stuff like that before where someone used screwdriver in there like a piston stop.  Plug in it was still complete.

Shoot I already told him he was out. Thought you had talked to him and I just misread it.

Got him down to $250 and thinking the bar and chain too.  So going to drive up there tonight to get it.

Worst thing = I have a parts saw to sell parts off if to much happened, other wise might get lucky.

That's doesn't sound awful. It may just need a piston and ignition.
