John Deere 450V Echo 4500 parts saw.  JD 450

I bought this as a running parts saw and tore it down for a look.

Sold the runner long ago so can sell this one now. I put together loosely yesterday instead of parts in a box.

It had fallen from a truck and busted the muffler studs off in cylinder. Last owner tried a insert repair but it didnt hold. I bought muffler studs and a muffler to find out it didnt. The bar side crankcase is **** around bar stud. The saw ran when I got it so coil and carb was good. I have more then $100 in it with the extra parts I bought.

I just put it back together LOOSE with ONLY 1 cylinder bolt (all I could find  :-X). Has good usable piston etc too.

It is also the older JD version  before the chain brake was added.

$50 and shipping.

Working on pics.

Bad areas, pics above I put the bar stud back in hole.   The handguard mount area is broken off just like the 800v one was. it is a very weak area.

Bar stud area cracks and the renecked inserts someone tried.

Showing piston.

Cylinder inside if you fix the stud area. I am guessing weld and retap would be best. Bet member scarr  could do it.

Pulling module for my 6700 as they share some parts. Found out they are NLA new while doing a carb swap on the 6700 with a 8000 carb.
