Time to clean out last winter's project saws.
« on: April 12, 2014, 06:45:49 pm »
Over the winter I had plenty of time to build up some saws for sale. I have several I will be posting pictures of in a day or so, they are:

Husqvarna 246 new CP C/P high reving saw
Husqvarna 55 air injection OEM jug with Stihl 028S piston, all new intake tract and filter goes very well
Husqvarna 257 all OEM, what can I say it is a 257

Some may have seen the tutorial I did on the conversion of a 261 to 262XP. I did two of these saws all OEM except for a Meteor piston in one and OEM in the other and rings, MM too. Both saws will be up for sale.

Husqvarna 261/262XP conversion using Meteor 262XP piston, MM and three shoe 262XP clutch, 1998 model

Husqvarna 261/262XP conversion using Husqvarna 365SP piston, MM and three shoe 262XP clutch, 2000 model SOLD

I will put up a composite set of pictures of all saws in the AM.

OH Yeah, almost forgot, a SOLO 654/Homelite 340 complete new coil setup all works fine, nice little saw. Last tuned in sub 0 weather, you will have to retune for your location. SOLD

Wow man were those project saws all straight gassed?  Hell they all look like new, never used saws!  My project saws usually show up in a box with miss matched parts & half the paint is missing from a hard life of useage.  Those are all really nice & tough to resist

Resistance is futile, so don't!

I have a lady friend who runs a house sale service who keeps an eye out for saws. Some come in like this others a little worse some much better. Once she brought me a still in the box Jonsereds 2171!

Now that's something you might have been able to tempt me with.......especially if it was a 2171W...

For older saws:
Tune the H side so that it 4-strokes (burbles) at WOT unloaded and just cleans up when under load.
When you lift cutting load, the saw should immediately revert to 4-stroking.  Fine tune the transition point for the wood you're cutting.

Sorry Aaron, it wasn't a 'W' and it is long gone! Sure was pretty though, IIRC it went to a JRed collector.
