Partner Pioneer 550 parts saw
« on: March 26, 2014, 04:31:20 pm »
When I was redoing a partner pioneer 550 I was thinking about building a p70 partner 7000 out of one. After running the 550 I didnt see the need to.

You can put 55cc 65cc 70cc topends on these.  The top end on this one looked good last I remember.

The clutch cover is gone and was removed for the other 550 I ended up giving a friend in need of bigger saw.

Trade for poulan or echo projects or parts.

Thread when I was learning these http://chainsawrepair.createaforum.com/partner/partner-550-p70-7000/

Kevin, I don't have a lot of parts, but I do have a complete 2700 poulan with a 20" .325 bar I could put up to swap on this if its still available?  Pm me if the 2700 is to your liking or if you would rather have paper green.  Thanks!

I forgot all about this. Sorry.

I'll get you pics of what I have and yes I'll trade it.

No hurry man, I have a few unfinished projects going at the moment, but this one looks pretty sweet.  It appears it needs a top cover & air filter, is that about it?  Thanks & I will get you some pictures of the 2700!

There is no clutch cover. That one in pic was used on other 550.  Will try and see what it needs by looks.

I have no history of this saw. I just bought it as a parts saw. Was going to build it so didnt matter.
After giving the other 550 to a  friend, I just hung onto it for parts.  Lost all interest of a p70 - 7000 build as the 550 was a torque monster for it's cc size already with the long stroke.

Here is what I have left.
The washer deal behind clutch and drum was used on other 550 too.  The coil is just stuck to magnets, fasteners wasnt there.  If you pull the coil and set it aside it turns through.  Never pulled muffler or anything as far as I remember.  I bought as a non runner parts saw.

Spoke for, pending arrival of saw trade.

New owner is wanting to restore. So needs covers etc if you have extras.
