The mini was made so that aspiring saw mechanics could learn patience .Anybody who can work on a mini mac and keep their cool can work on anything .

You can land an entire saw for what those few parts will cost you .

The D44 was the first direct drive saw McCulloch ever built and was the model  that took them to the top of the heap for many years in production and sales of chainsaws . Unless the saw was damaged or stored in a place where it took on moisture it will probabley run .Might need a carb rebuild though . Squirt a little WD-40 ,Kroil or something down the cylinder before you roll it over much .

Run some kerosine through the oiler to flush out all the gunk .If you get it running and want to pretty it up  OSHA safety yellow is a perfect match for Mac yellow .

That thing uses a push rod adjustment of the points .A feature made so you don't have to remove the flywheel to set the points .The setting as per the tech manual is with the thickness of the cellophane from a package of cigarettes .It's under a little box like looking gizmo top front of the flywheel side .
