That was why I said I could see plenty of cutter left in the pic he posted of chain.   ;)

In one of my boxes of junk I have about 30 or 40 NOS chains of various makes .I believe there are 4 or 5 brand new Mini Mac chains .I think they are so old they are actually chipper chain instead of semi chisel .However I don't remember if they are low profile 3/8" or 1/4"

Lol yeah thats pretty old...and as for sharpening it i sat there for an hour doing it and it just wasnt getting sharp at all. If i was to go to to lowes or something and spend 8-10 bucks on a file and guild, i could just go buy a new chain for 12 lol ;)

With a $10 file and guide set, you could possible sharpen a $12 chain some 20 times and other chains besides that one..

I on the other hand  could take a teeny little Mini Mac chain that had every other tooth broken and get it sharp in one hour . It only takes about 5 minutes to resharp a 20" loop of regular 3/8" chisel chain .

That giant 143 drive lengths of .404 chisel on that bar of the big Homey in my avatar is only about 15 minutes . I have to admit  on that thing my fingers get a little tired before I'm through . ;)

I forgot to check when I got back. Hopefully he just got a 5/32 file guide and got that chain on the saw sharpened to cut with.
