I don't know about a current source for bar plates other than e-bay or finding a old dealer somewhere. 

The large tail bars with the 5/16 slot could have been for the early 3-25 model saws or the LeSabre, the 33/35/39 power head on its side to make a (left hand) direct drive saw.  All of the 33/35/39 saws I have use 3/8" bar studs.
