I was looking for discussion of Fraser's Long Bar Mac saw on CSCF.  Not the 895 model profile.  That saw could be an 840, 890, 895, or 895C.  They're all the same except for the engine.  Those were the only Mac gear drives in this series that had an auto oiler pump (which is visible on this saw).  An 840 has a 99cc engine.  The 890 has a 103cc engine (without comp release).  The 895 has a 103cc engine that's the same as the 890 engine except with a lever type comp release (called DSP by Mac).  The two displacements come from a slightly larger bore on the 103cc engines.  Stroke is the same.

There's no DSP sticker on the right side of the fuel tank, so I'm thinking it wasn't an 895 unless the sticker was peeled off.  Regardless...............it has a different engine swapped in now anyways.  The 895C was the last of the breed and had a button type DSP valve (like what's on Fraser's saw), but in the location where the valve is on his saw.  The 895C (and the PM105 and SP105/SP125) all have the valve higher on the head and closer to the muffler.  This saw wasn't an 895C unless another bottom handle brace/cylinder shield assembly has been swapped on (the comp release hole in the shroud is in the 'wrong' place for an 895C).
