The ones I've seen had the engine sitting on top of the digger sideways .The origin of that I can't really say  nor for that matter if McCulloch ever actually built it  or any of them .They were painted yellow is all I know .

Now that 250 engine while not being the fastest ever made is noted for that McCulloch torque plus it's about 5 HP .It will spin that auger  no problem .However providing the engine is runnng good if  you ever stick it like hitting a root the auger will stop and whomever is driving the thing will go roundy round .
