Anyone have experience with the Lewis Chainsaw Winch? I picked up a 400MK2 and was going to put one of my Mccullochs on it but they all have the sprocket internal to the clutch which means using the universal adaptor. (Small bar and external toothless chain) I would prefer the direct connection. Looks like older Homelights like the 330 would be compatable and about the minimun cc's (53) you need to take advantage of the winch capability. (4000 rated 8000 with snatch block) Had planned on using a ProMac 700 or a 1010 I already have but really want the direct connect. Perhaps someone can recomend a good combo? Might have to buy another saw!! One of these days I'll actually sell one I have!!?? The winch itself is pretty interesting and looks like it could really be a good tool especially on unmaintained forrest service roads in the winter. Thanks...Ed

Thanks for sharing your views. I am looking to purchase this tool. DO you have some pics and a reliable source to purchase it?

I actually purchased mine on Fleabay. You can find them there often. I also decided to hook up a strong running Homelite Super XL 12 to it. I figure 58 CC should be enough for what I need and it gives me the direct drive.
