With a right hand start I would suspect it's a 6-10 engine .It's hard to determine how many devices used small McCulloch engines but the 70 cc was a popular size .Light weight,dependable lots of power for a small physical size .

I've got a "dealers" book of McCulloch equipment which has several pages on what they termed power head engines but it doesn't specify what those were used on ..One could assume if this bomb hoist were approved by the US navy it would have to have passed some rigorous testing .With salt water spray and jet fuel on the deck of an aircraft carrier no doubt the ignition system likely was water proof and shielded .One thing you don't want around high explosives and jet fuel is an errant spark .Not good  :o
