Mac Cat 35cc 38cc 32cc
« on: October 23, 2012, 07:53:42 pm »
Mac Cat came in that lost a battle with a small tree.

I have learned so far they had 2 different type handles. One with spring mount and one without.   Said he can live without the hand brake guard.  So I will be looking for a handle for spring mount.

The other saw wasnt so lucky he brought in for a tune. No compression and she was smoked bad.  ::)

I don't ever call seeing one but for general information a few of the mini series had spring suspension handles . If I'm not mistaken maybe the 140 Mini .

These later series were a lot easier to work on than the earlier ones .This Mac cat, Eager beaver etc type stuff is just something you don't see much of in these parts .I think by that period time the Craftsman Poulans had pretty well taken over the small displacement moderately priced saw market .

Where'd you get parts for one of those? One of my sons has a 38 and the other a 32 that are used for pruning.

Trying to find fuel line routing on the mac cat 35cc 3 lines I see with primer bulb. The way they have them ran (been replaced) dont make sense in my mind.

Missing a choke lever deal too.  Think it slides under top cover and contacts to metal silver lever shown in pic carb area.

Mac Cat 35 in upper back left of pic.

I've had a couple of those but my kids have them now.

I had to put new lines on the 32 and it was a pain.

Mine were made like the black upper left one.

tore into 2014 beaver this morning. very similar but no springs  oil line rotted off.  flywheel side plastic case comes off easy. allows good access to fuel and oil lines.
