Check the sprocket and make sure it is not worn.   I would also pull the bar off and chain off, leave the clutch cover off and then start the saw to look and see if it is putting out bar oil.   I would check the bar groove and oil holes to make sure they are not plugged up.   It sounds like the bar and chain are getting overly hot and that the sprocket is worn and needs replaced.
