Those impulse operated diaphragm oilers really did pretty good .They usually didn't cause any problems until the saw sat unused for several years .In as many of them I've fiddled with over the years I think I've only had to change two of them .Fact I'm not real certain why they fail ,most likely the check valves get stuck .
