A 700 is a pretty good old saw .They can still run with the big dogs .

I put one together from parts of two  and when my bud the trimer lost his saws to theft  that old duffer carried the mail for him until he made enough money to refurbish his Stihls .That saw,one of my Stihl 038's and one 200T saved the day .

shhhhhh! al! don't tell everybody how they run!
the thing I like is they have the power to pull a good sized bar and an 8t in hard wood. the stihl 440/460 just won't. either way, a properly tuned pm700 will outrun a stock 044/440. and sound better doing it. :) too bad about the 'handling' and vibration. :D
this one going up for sale locally.

I have one the gets used often.  It only has an 18 inch bar on it so you can really lean on it and it won't bog down.  A little loud but ear plugs take care of that.
