I do strongly agree that Sachs Dolmar had very poor
dealer support from the factory. I sold Sachs Dolmar
back in the day, Late 70's early 80's and there line of
saws to me was second to none. We sold a ton of the
112's, 114's, 117's and 119's but nothing larger. There
ease of repair was simple. I have never profesionally
cut with the bigger saws so my experience with how
they handle or feel is limited. I have run them on many
test logs just for fun and even had timed cuts against
other big saws and the 166 is always a bit stronger.
The Mac 797 is also a great performer with a tad more
grunt than is later SP125. The 166, 084, 880, 3120 to me
are close but with the saws i own a good running 166
just seems to pull strong in the big wood. Of coarse not
every saw model runs the same. I have some 166's that
seem to run a tad better than others.

Just my two cents.
