I just had a mini mac 140 follow me home.  The darn little thing runs great but the oil pump seems to be not working.  Ther seems to be hope for this one. Are the mini macs for the most part the same saw?  This one has an opening for and auto sharp??

Man, you have a lot more patience than I. In the 80's I worked in a shop that serviced Macs, hated those little buggers. Had to keep fighting the fuel line to stop the fuel leaks.

It is one of those saws missing only a little paint on the bottom so I figured it might be worth a little bit of a battle to get it going.  It was sold as parts not running but the only thing wrong with it was the high and low screws were bottomed out.  A little fartin around with it and it runs good.  Yhis is the second good looking saw in a year I got as "not running" that only had the high and low screws bottomed out.

Not only were the high and low screws bottomed out but also the oiler screw.  Would this have been a "storage" method to turn all the screws in??

i've said it before and i'll say it again. unless there is a 'sentimental' attachment to one of these, they aren't worth the trouble.

The oil pump is the problem with this one. Is the fiber dick supposed to move free or have a snug fit?  Even the manual oiler does not push oil but there is a small ball loose in the line between the tank and outlet to the bar.  I'm guessing that should be restrained some how?  With this one it's not sentamental, it's vengeance!!
