Chainsaw Repair

i get to see one now and then that's been beat to death. no idea how they kept on running all these years but they do show up. this one decided to shave some piston and ring material into the transfer ports. none of the ports were ever beveled on these saws. good thing there wasn't any damage to the cylinder, just the piston. put the grinder to all the ports and smoothed some other castings in the intake and exhaust areas before putting the newish piston in. good little runner now. not that i ever want to see the insides of one again.
