Saw talk turns to Old Macs
« on: November 13, 2013, 05:05:40 pm »
Talking with a guy at work about saws today. He stated he had some old macs and with 36" bar on one. Said he thought from the 50's.
Stated one was even green and not a repaint, thought it was original paint.  ???  I'm betting a poulan or one of those sears green things I ask about.

Hopefully he will get me some pics so you folks can figure out what they are for me and him.

May have been a blue Target cutoff/demo/concrete saw.....................or a chainsaw that was made from a converted Target saw.  Here's my Target QuickCut 14.  Based on a 103cc McCulloch 795L.

Ok Tried a cut and paste so that didn't work, when I was hunting for a list of what was considered a mac 10 series saw on the list was  a oem710 and in brackets blue
maybe this too was a target saw  see the page at chainsawcollectors.se/phpbb3/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=17917 you will find the reference at the top of a chart 3 or 4 posts in from the start
