Titan 57 Oil Line Access
« on: November 04, 2012, 11:10:01 am »
Put mine away 10 years ago, we've recently been re-acquainted (Sandy). Need to remove [3] torx 25s attaching the oil pump to replace the **** lines for the oiler. Looking for advice for removing the clutch assembly to access screws.  Thanks guys...

Replacing the lines on this saw is a job.  So much so that I would recommend replacing the fuel lines while the tank and case are separate.

Yup,...that was my initial intent and it turned into both gas and oil.  Didn't have to pull the clutch,...however I'd recommend it to someone else.  Screws were both slotted and T25s. Cut down a bit and used a 1/4" wrench to loosen the 3 screws enough to pry the oil pump up enough to slide the line through.  It was hardened and stiff from the wire line "guides" so it couldn't simply be pulled through and out.

On to the carb.  I presume an overnight soaking and some diligent prodding with some guitar strings (can't find my reamer) should do the trick with a K10-HDA (Walbro) rebuild kit??

Thanks guys!!
