I haven't seen a small block Ford in an 8n either .My comment was about old Jeeps with V8 engines .
All this sounds good but often it doesn't work out so well .I don't care what it is you increase the power by 3 or 4 times something is going to fail .
I once saw what was left of an old Cletrac crawler somebody stuck a Ford 289 in to replace the 6 cylinder Continental flat head engine .They used the Ford three speed tranny locked in second gear .It tore the finals out of the crawler .What was left was 5 tons of scrap cast iron .
