Thanks Kevin. Dealer just ordered me one. I'll post measurements when I get it...

Kev, may be a brush cutter based on the 50cc saw motors?  We have a 335 say based brush cutter, didn't know if that was a common practice with Husky/Jred prior to the 335xpt era?

Yep looks like a little chainsaw motor PH.  Pin size the same? Noticed bolt on cylinder too.

I had a husky blower in that looked like a clamshell PH of small chainsaw.

Thanks for thread links, good info! Net info I found says 10mm pin on the brush cutter. Will confirm in a few days.

Adam I was thinking about this last night. Why not just use a 353 45mm piston?

I am thinking why you choose the other one is due to way the slab side is made?

Kev, I'll get one of those too. I'm curious how the full circle vs. Slab side will perform in the open port.

Did husky use the closed port 44mm   jug on any saws? Have a couple clean 5000s with badly scored jugs I'd like to restore

Only one I know of that fits in 44mm was the open port 50 in husky.  No closed port in 44mm I can think of, maybe I am forgetting one?

I am not sure if the early 44mm 51 EPA saws used an open or a closed port one? It hardly is availiable anyway though, if it was a "special" for that version, as the concept of smaller bore EPA versions was short lived....

Adam was helping a guy with a 44mm 350. I didnt see cylinder though.   Open or closed I dont know?

Jonsered 2149 had a closed port 44mm too. I remember one north of me that was woods ported now.
