thanks for the info guys, have a few different pistons on the way, couple 45mm and one 44. the number Shep posted sounds interesting , ill research that #


got the Meteor 46 mm cylinder kit from the Greek Dude!!   Nicely made as per usual Meteor quality.[/u]

Thanks Jim meteor. Brain is so slowwwwwww anymore. I even read that  and it didnt soak in couple days ago.

Kev,  Meteor makes the cylinder and piston.  $125 or so for both

If I owned those saws. I would be slapping these on as replacements for sure when needed.

What I have heard is that the Meteor cylinders are cast in the far east, and then finished and platred in Italy. I don't know for sure if it is true.

That's interesting. Did some research and there are quite a few piston and cylinder casting companies in the area surrounding the address where the Greek Dudes company is.  Wouldnt surprise me if that was the case.  Casting looks very nice

I'm curious if Gilardoni is still producing saw cylinders for husky/stihl?

They couldnt put Italy on that cylinder could they if it wasnt cast there right?

You could well be right - as I said, I was not entierly convinced by the "story" I told.
