I've heard of a 272 in a 50 special.  Nothing crank wise in a 5000 that I have heard of yet. Except putting a 46mm PP325 on top them.

Anything is possible I would guess with  know how and maybe machining.

Going to give it a try. If it works I can see a 262/5000 taking shape.

will you use the crank/piston/cylinder from another saw or will you take the 5000 crank and do a stroker with?

Going to try to fit a 262 crankshaft into the 5000. 34mm stroke and longer con rod than a 254.
