Here is the thread on the 500 5000 oil pump. If you can read it it has something on location of air vent and location. I have never had to mess with that part.

Usually the ones I have had just get weak flow from wearing out and a new or good used replacement fixed my oiling problems.

 I have came across 3 different ones now. 2 adjustable with coarse and fine threads and non adjustable.

What color is your plastic parts and the pump oiler gear inside oiler. White or black?
