Btw, the S65 and F65 were rated at a little less power than the earlier 65cc Pro Partners, like the R20 and R420 - 3.8 hp vs. 4.0 hp.

I believe the difference was caused by open vs. closed porting.....

I am wondering why this shows R16 chassis on the partner f65 instead of what you have above. I dont know the older R partners and barely the F and S etc  http://www.acresinternet.com/cscc.nsf/ed1d619968136da688256af40002b8f7/37310f5b39cba58688256afd004eac0f?OpenDocument
Simply because the 55-70cc Partner saws still were based on the R16 chassis (with or without AV) - the last generation being the P7000, 650 and 550.

Owner lowered the price to $15 and looks like somebody finally got it.  Good deal.

Had a partner 550 dropped off.  Would idle but not take gas.   Ended up blocking off the gov and hook the pump diaphragm back up to the fulcrum.

Watched said saw cut 20" to 24" dry dead elm with 20" 3/8 bar buried after fixing.

This is some great info that needs saved.  @Hoggwood Thanks for posting this.  Just come across this.

Per Hoggwood = I've the original owner's manual for the  1632 1646 that came with my 1632. They show external differences between the two models.
Slide controls for the 1632. Toggles for the 1646 1647. They show the 1632 as having no AV, whereas the 1646 AV as far as I can tell. Curiosity has me wanting to check my bore now as well.

I can scan to PDF if anyone wants a copy of the manual.

I went ahead and bought this Partner S65 I worked on in 2013 of the oringal owner bought in 1985. He stated the oiler wasnt working when he went to use it this year.

Anyone know any info on what to check on these oilers. I remember it being odd area or different.

I went ahead and picked up that 1 owner Partner S65 today. Guy bought it new Nov 1, 1985 for $399.99.   Have receipt, warranty cards and all the books with the big IPL page.
I didnt want or need the saw but figure I will check it out and pass it onto someone that will want it.

He said the oiler wasnt working last time he used it this year. Plus it had gotten to heavy for him over the 30+ years of owning.
I pulled the bar etc and checked everything and the oiler works.   ??? :P 8) ;D

Was missing 1 recoil bolt and I happen to have some of the partner style left so that 1 is right again.

Clean saw homeowner used. I am going to sell it.

Wonder what oregon powermatch bar he had on it. Appears to line up etc. 208XXXD010
