That P4 adapter should also allow midsized Poulans (3400-4000, 4200/5200, some 4400/4900/5400, 306/245/etc), early XL-series Homelites with 5/16" studs (XL-12, XL-Automatic, XL-400A, XL-500A, XL-600series, XL-700/800series, etc), and others that use the A176/D176 type mounts  (Lombards, Ropers) to use the S1 mount bars.
