Check the basics like a ground wire shorting or bad plug wire/plug first
Banta saw and others sell an aftermarket ignition kit for a lot of the older partners. I believe the conversion works with some but not all p41/41s saws.

I checked wires for ohms seems to be fine but I am no electrician.  Cleaned all contact points grounds, flywheel and ignition. I think these saws are badass and would love to get it out cutting wood! thanks for any help

Is your coil a two part type?

As far as I can tell if it's a two piece the "condenser coil" p/n is phelon # 11760 431307.  I'd suspect that before the coil failing
