A Possible Fix for fuel tank cracks or onther non metallic parts

I found this in a hardware shop It is glass wool mesh with adhesive on one side. Very tough stuff used for gaps in walls or furniture. I see it as a potential repair item for tanks damaged by broken or jumping chains. It might be good even for other mending work. Maybe you have it but for me (in a third world country ;) ) this was something new.
Now, I need to get a damaged tank to try it on

Here for oil tanks or fuel tanks I just use. SealAll, JB weld or Steelstik
