starting this thread to hopefully keep replies in one place.  will do what i can to help folks get through it.

if a person has a problem(s) with it, most likely, someone else has the same problem.

not going to answer questions on other forums about it.  like the free idea and want it to stay here, for members to use with sucess, or maybe to curse at.  like the folks and information shared here.  other site has watered down of late.

the spreadsheet will be password protected for the first couple of months.  not because its secret or anything, just want forum members to have the first crack at it.  if someone wants a password for it, during this time, pm me.  not a member, you will have to wait, or join and share something you know.

will post the spreadsheet later this evening.  have to hook the old pc up with a cord to the internet up from the basement, am taking a break for now, eyes are buggy from looking at screen for hours.

one last thing.  the program does not and should not contain any macros.  if a version out there contains these things, do not download it.  my pc does not have any virus's, but run a virus scan on the program before you open it.  if any of you have a filechecker, i will post the md5 and file size.  if the file size is larger than what i have listed to be true, do not download it.  pm me if unsure.

may need a varience on the file size.

Thank you for your time and sharing this with the members.  We are all about doing things for FREE here.

I have access to a 1996 chainsaw workshop time line online.  It's also password protected.

If you do have your own business or shop etc fill free to post in your sig or where to buy online here too.

tomorrow.  sound like a broken record. ate dinner, then a 12oz beverage hit the stomach.

macros.  i don't actually know for sure if it will have a macro or not on your end.  as i mentioned, for the time being it will have a password.  then i have a program that codes the calculations to remain hidden from view.  maybe someone more computer savvy than i will know if it contains a macro or not by doing these things.  asked randy about zipping the file, because it is too large.  am trying to find info on that.  maybe you guys will need that program as well.  don't know much about it.

You can use "Google Drive" as a intermediary download repository? It will come up automatically with a large file if you use "Gmail".
We should share what we know... someone may learn...

thanks, will do cut4fun, if it ends up being too large.   its too large to attach without shrinking it down as it is.  the zip thing may end up shrinking it enough to post directly.

from what i gathered, folks will need to unzip the file.  maybe some newer computers will have something installed on them to do this.   will try to zip it using zzip.  its a free, general public license software.  winzip and winrar can also do it, but think that they are "shareware" (free at first, then pay to play or something like that).  dont know enough about "how" to unzip yet, to write some instructions.  hopefully, its easy enough to do for everyone.

delay is over.  got everything solved and working as it should.

folks trying this out:

need to know what you have before getting what you want.

works like this in a nutshell.
1. known baseline power levels are entered
2. baseline motor is blueprinted using measurements:
    only difference from the way most of yall seem to do this is that port widths need to be measured as well;
also differs that the degree measurements need to be converted into millimeters.  to get the areas.
3.  then your baseline motor sta's are calculated.
4. you then save this info
5.  you then re-run the spreadsheet, with the target motor gain level you choose.
6.  it calculates a new target sta needed to get that power
7.  now, knowing the new sta now needed, you just change heights and/or widths to match those needed to get the target sta.
8.  target motor now blueprinted.

Holy batman. I'm going to give it a shot. Its going to take ALOT of reading and rereading to get some numbers flowing.  :)

Ok I started plugging in some numbers on the BMEP choices and input values to get the ball rolling. If all goes well you say to rerun the spread sheat after all the numbers for the every sheet to get target numbers. What do you mean by that. I guess what I'm saying is after I get all the numbers plugged in where are the numbers I need to use to get the desired results? Maybe I'm not seeing it. Also what are the intake port 1 and intake port 2 for? Same goes for exhaust and transfer ports too. It might take me a while but I and determined to put this program from step one to final result. One thing that I think might help is a spread sheet that is maybe already done as a example.  I'm sure I will have more questions.
