heya pops, will do what i can to help.

not sure at what point you are in the program right now..... so i will begin with this:

-once you have all the port measurements, also the degrees where the port begins to open, entered in for (exh., trans, & intake ports).......the numbers on the sheet tab "motor summary" will change.

- on the top chart, the one labeled baseline STA.....thats the time area....for whatever measurements you entered in on the (exh., trans, and intake ports). for the baseline motor.  ya dig?

-below that.....the chart labeled "target STA"......thats what you want to get to.  the "goal".

-the "difference chart" shows how far away from the "goal" you are now.  the closer you get to "zero" on this chart, the closer you are to the "target STA".....which we are shooting for.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
now...lets go back to your saving question.

-gotta do this, when you get to the last tab, (motor summary).  ..."save as" the file as instructed.

-in order to get t our "target STA" goal numbers......  the ports will have to be changed.  new measurement numbers will have to be entered in place of the old ones, you already entered into the (exh., trans, and intake) heights widths and degrees at begin to open cells.  if you do not "save as", your prior entries will be over-written and lost forever.

-once you do the "save as"(for the baseline motor........... do the "save as" another time....... this time......
call the file "target motor" (or something like that).

-.....by doing this, none of the numbers you entered for the "baseline motor" will be lost.  ya dig?

-now, you can fiddle around changing (over-writing) the port measurements at will.  increase width first, then try increasing heights.  (when heights are changed, follow the instructions in yellow, on the motor summary sheet).
----------------------------------------------------------------------------

-numbered the ports 1,2.3. etc.,  because i did not want to run out of ports.  everyone calls them different things.....especially the trans ports.  if you only have one port. no need to use #2 port for anything.

------------------------------------------------

got me thinking...

IF YOUR MOTOR HAS MORE THAN ONE TRANS PORT.... AND....THEY BEGIN TO OPEN AT DIFFERENT HEIGHTS (DEGREES)..... MAKE SURE THE TRANS PORT THAT OPENS FIRST....... IS ENTERED AS PORT #1 (MAIN).

forgot to put that in the destructions.

--------------------

-keep 'em coming pops.  walk you through the whole thing if need be.

if you dont mind, list what motor, you are working on.

pm me with some measurements, and i can enter info. on my end into the program as you go.  the info for each sheet could be summarized on this thread, as you progress.  i could then post each individual page on this thread, and it would become the example that you wanted. you would be helping out others as well.  if not, no worries.  will walk you through, just the same.
