maybe of benefit to help obtain port widths by tracing with paper and pencil.  probably the only way to get port corner radii, as well.

guide found over at macdizzy site: http://www.macdizzy.com/cylinder_map.htm

(widths and radii, will be necessary for program to compute port areas).

note:  the guide does not show how to get the port corner radius.  easiest way is to then lay the paper flat.  put a circle drawing template, on the port corner until one is found to match.  the circle drawing template sizes circles by the diameter.  so this number will need to be divided by 2 to get the radius.

you can buy circle templates for just a few bucks at office supply or sometimes at art/craft stores.

folks,

wasn't too clear on a lot of things.  spreadsheet was put together over the course of about 10 months, a little at a time.  hopefully this will help clear up a few things, with more to come.

attached:

1.  how to navigate within the spreadsheet basics

2.  spreadsheet entries using degree wheel

both are text files that should open directly on any computer.

Sorry ROYM, we were discussing how we might get this thing to download and work for everyone. I was probably posting in the wrong thread and got us off topic. I will ask one of the moderators to move those comments to the questions thread.
