Hanging Chainsaws
« on: April 20, 2014, 11:40:36 am »
Trying to reclaim some floor space.
Does anyone hang their chainsaws from the walls or ceiling using large bicycle hooks or other fasteners?

Chuck

I've seen it done alot.

I have had those cheaper $ hangers snap unexpectedly before hanging other items in the past.   So get good hangers for those pricey saws.

There was a thread on here somewhere about storage options for chainsaws but I cannot seem to find it. Perhaps Kevin or another member knows where it went.

I have seen some chainsaws hanging overhead from just a nail. It made me very nervous.

I keep thinking about the big tree trunk with chainsaw cut slots that hold the chain saws?

Nice sturdy wooden shelves are an alternative .Gets them off the floor at least .I've got hanging weed wackers though .They seem to multiply for some reason as do leaf blowers .Kind of like stray cats in a way .Most of them run but I'm certain they all did at one time or another .

Chainsaw store better if you drain the liquids and clean them up a bit.

I notice that many people remove the bars too.

I have a setup like that in my shop.
Mine is a 6"-8" cedar post mounted on a lazy susan and with a piece of 1" galvanized well pipe in a hole drilled in the top.
