I've got a lot of em didn't know what I was doing when I bought them.  Wasted money on 180 grit hones.  Settled on 240 grit and 320 grit.

I went with 240 Grit Aluminum Oxide. Copy paste info = This type is recommended for cylinder coatings such as chrome and Nikasil.
Used to lightly surface the bore of your cylinder, creating a cross hatch of scratches that helps your rings seat tightly to increase compression. They also smooth over imperfections around intake and exhaust ports.

Over this 320 Grit Silicon Carbide. " " " ".   This type of hone  works on all surfaces including cast iron cylinders.

Arrived today. Now to get some time to try it out. Havent used one of these since 09 or so and only once back then.

Will try and remember to take a before and after.  The one cylinder I deglazed by hand and cross hatched already like I used to do. But I am thinking this will be so much better.

I like to reuse oem cylinders when I can. I have always just deglazed the cylinders by hand.
Well I decided I wanted to go the extra mile and try and put in the oem cross hatching when new. Also think it will help with new ring seating.
First 2 pics show one I did by hand on LEFT and one on right waiting for me to do as pulled.
This is all before I use the drill and 240 ball hone to compare pics in next post.

Seems like folks on the CR G like the idea of these.    Many asking how to go about buying singles and set.

I never could figure out why the resistance against them.   Like anything else you can go over board on a plated cylinder but they do work well if done right.
