I wonder what the $10 husky deflector goes on originally?

This is the one for $10 in the link above.  # 503589901

Found it husqvarna 281  http://www.partstree.com/parts/?lc=husqvarna&mn=281+%282001-10%29&dn=28150011
I'll try that $10.00 one. I'm going to order some parts in a couple of days.

We have been using 281/288 outlets for MM.  They have gotten pricey as of the last price increase.  Has anyone considered the outlet for PP475 PN 503-4354-01/02 they are $4.68 @ jacksdmallengines .com?  I'm ordering a couple to see whats up.  I don't have any of the big Poulans (yet) to see.  From the IPL looks like they would be a cheaper alternative.

I have not tried those yet myself but it would be nice to have a cheaper alternative.

I have a new 281 288 deflector and can pull one off the project PP 475 so you can have a side by side view if you want?

FWIW sheet metal deflecters are relatively easy to make .I've done several myself converting Stihl single port mufflers to dual .

I like the husky deflectors. The poulan ones are huge and made for the front. The husky ones were made for side use, but I have used them to make my own dual port stihl covers from plain jane 066 084 front covers.

Also like Al said you can make your own.

I think someone has the Chinese making them now too and selling them a little cheaper.  I will see if I can find the link again.
