Thanks Kevin and Jim, I knwew about the differences in the transfer ports. At one time Dolmar used a windowed piston in the 7900 then changed to a slab sided at some later point. I do not know if there were changes to the transfers to go along with this. The only pistons I can find for the 7900 now are the slab side, even if you try to order the windowed piston the part number superceedes to the slab piston.

Kevin had mentioned earlier the experience he had with using a slab sided piston and the results he had with it in a windowed piston saw. So that is what got us to thinking about the 365 piston. What the H#ll it is an experiment anyway, if it doesn't work I will throw a windowed 262 piston in it and away we go!
