Mako is a aftermarket brand of parts distributed by Tilton Equipment. Fairly extensive selection for both Husky and Stihl. Whatever Jonsered models are common to the Huskys are of course covered, but there are no parts for Jonsered specific models.

Some of the parts are of "Asian" origin. I doubt these parts are unique to the Mako brand. They are likely sourcing them from suppliers that are making this stuff under different labels we've already seen. Some of the parts are Tecomec, which are all super quality. (and cost more) The difference is in the part number prefex, either "TL" or "TM".

Experience so far on the asian has been limited, so I can't say it's all good yet. The 372 big bore kit looks really nice. Beefy piston, very clean casting. Has that dark finish on it like the bailey's kits. Regular 372 is the standard silver finish, and doesn't have the same quality look. I did put one in a 365 a couple weeks ago. Saw is in commercial use and has been doing fine. I put a Mako piston in a 575 of mine. Only ran a tank and a half through it to date. Seems OK. A buddy used one of the 395 kits, and it's been OK. On the down side, a customer said he bought a 288 kit from another dealer, and the surface where the intake block meets the cylinder was screwed up.

My big bore kit is going on a Jonsered chassis. I'll create my own Jonsered 2176. Even going to make a "2176" decal by using decals from a 2171 and 2186.  8)
