Pretty similar to the kit I use.  If they don't work, then I weld the plug whole shut and drill/tap a new hole.

Same one I have used in alloy boat motors and snowmobile heads.
Have not had to try it a chainsaw yet. But see no reason it wouldn't work fine.

Sounds better then just a helicoil is what I was thinking.
