Aftermarket head and porting
« on: July 01, 2017, 07:41:39 pm »
I was wondering about having the head cut off a spare 262 cylinder and having a new head made for it with a more modern combustion chamber. I have had new 2 stroke heads (motorcycles) made or welded up and a new modern combustion chamber machined by a company (RK TEK) that does heads for high performance snowmobiles and motorcycles. I don't think it would be a big deal to cut the old head off and make one, you could set the squish perfect with out changing the port timing like you do if you deck the base of the cylinder. I see you guys are already doing this......how do you come up with your combustion chamber design? Thanks DG
