A little off topic, have you ever heard a 2-stroke triple with pipes(especially unsilenced) run? The sound of 3 pipes crackling in harmony is incredible, there is nothing else like it,and addictive if you own a bike or snowmobile equipped so. I got a lotta scars and near-death experiences to show for 12 years addiction to that sound and machine, which of course I used every trick to make as fast as possible.Everyone said I would die on it before I was 20,lucky I got married and sold it,not wanting to make my wife a widow. But I still love to hear them run.

Road a friends triple Kaw street bike when 18 that had straight pipes.   Cant really recall it much. But still have a scar from laying it down.

Almost everyone who rode the fastest Kawi triple models are either injured or dead (I have some pretty frightening scars), the world's fastest production motorcycle of it's time also had the world's worst brakes, a diabolical recipe.  :o

I still have the data for the race pipes for them, aftermarket and several factory race model pipes, even a few sets of my own design, which I can provide someone for free if they needed them, but far too much work for this oldtimer to ever build again, they rest in my archives with everything else,on paper of course. I'm still alive and will never ride one of those bikes again!

The widowmakers were a scarey thing to ride felt like walking on top of a tin fence kept waiting to fall off. My triple twoey was a suzi waterbottle  and they sounded beautiful with triple chambers a much sweeter ride was a great touring bike Cant find my pics

Here's an interesting picture of a tuner pipe setup that drives a turbocharger on this 2 stroke.
